U.S. Deports Liberian Convicted of Child Sexual Offenses

MONROVIA, Liberia — A Liberian national convicted in the United States of multiple child sexual offenses has been deported to Liberia after completing his criminal sentence, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Tony P. Hill was removed from the United States last month after completing immigration removal proceedings, ICE said.
According to court records cited by the U.S. agency, Hill was convicted of several offenses, including aggravated sexual battery, taking indecent liberties with a child under 15, videotaping an undressed child, and possessing obscene material involving a child.
Following the completion of his criminal sentence, Hill was transferred into ICE custody and placed in removal proceedings.
ICE said the removal of non-citizens convicted of serious crimes remains among the agency’s priorities, particularly individuals whose offenses pose a threat to public safety and involve children.
“ICE is committed to protecting communities by removing individuals who have been convicted of egregious crimes,” the agency said.
Hill was deported to Liberia last month. Liberian immigration authorities have not yet issued a public statement regarding his return.
