BONG COUNTY LAWMAKERS COLLABORATE TO REHABILITATION ROAD IN DISTRICT ONE

TUKPAHBLEE, Bong: A major road rehabilitation work has commenced in Tukpahblee Administrative District, in Bong County. The road rehabilitation is a collaborative project initiated by district one Rep Prince K. Koinah and Senator of Bong County, Johnny Kpehe.

The rehabilitation work targets the Gbenequelleh-Botota route and will last for sixty days. Speaking to reporters Sunday, March 16, 2025, in Tuankan town during the official groundbreaking ceremony of the project, Representative Koinah emphasized the importance of rehabilitating feeder roads across the district as a means of fulfilling promise made to residents of that area during the 2023 elections Campaign.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, in a sperate remarks, Koinah indicated that Sen, Johnny Kpehe provided the Motor Grader Machine which is being used to undertake the project with no cost attached for rental fees while Rep Koinah provided other materials for the rehabilitation work admonishing residents of the district to consider the project as their own assuring them of more development under his leadership as Representative of the district.

He disclosed that through his intervention and collaboration with stakeholders of Bong County, ArcelorMittal Liberia has agreed to rehabilitate the road from LIMCO Camp to St. John River between Bong and Grand Bassa counties. He added that the project has already started and is expected to be completed soon.

For his part, Senator Johnny Kpehe expressed excitement about working with Representative Koinah to jumpstart the road rehabilitation in that part of Bong County. Senator Kpehe further pledged his unwavering commitment and openness to working with all seven representatives of Bong County to undertake similar developmental initiatives in other parts of the county.  He used the medium to encourage residents of Kokoyah district and Bong County at large to put aside their political differences and put the county’s interest first.

The residents of Tukpahblee, and Kokoyah Administrative districts in remarks lauded Rep. Koinah and Sen. Kpehe for embarking on such initiatives in the county.  They recounted the difficulties of bad road connectivity encountered over the years in the district, calling on the two lawmakers to consider extending the project to other hard-to-reach towns and villages in the district. The citizens have, however, promised to wholeheartedly get involved in the

project by serving as observers and contributing towards the speedy implementation of it in due course.
