Despite Active Arrest Warrant, Former President Weah’s Ex Chief of Protocol Arrives in County, But Not Arrested
June 10, 2026
Monrovia: Former President George Weah Ex chief of Protocol Nora Finda Bondo is reportedly in the country and has not been arrested Despite Active Arrest Warrant issued by criminal court “c”.
The issue has raised public concerns over enforcement of court orders and credibility of Liberia’s security system.
Madam Bondo according to sources allegedly entered Liberia on Tuesday June 9, 2026 through the Roberts International Airport on flight Air Peace and passed through immigration authorities without any form of interrogation based on the active arrest warrant.
Court documents show that Bondo has filed a US$435,560 Property Valuation Bond before Criminal Court “C”, pledging several properties as security for her appearance during trial.
The bond requires her to remain under the court’s jurisdiction and prohibits her from leaving the country without authorization.
The case is being filed by the Assets Recovery and Property Retrieval Task Force (AREPT) and the Ministry of Justice, as part of effort to recover Government assets allegedly linked to corruption and financial crimes.
As questions mount over her unchallenged arrival, attention is now shifting to the Liberia Immigration Service and other security agencies to explain whether the court’s arrest warrant remains active and if yes why it has not been enforced.
The incident has highlighted growing concerns about Liberia’s anti-corruption campaign and raises more questions as to whether the fight is politically motivated and applied to all citizens equally.
