LDEA Honors Officer After Confiscating Over Twenty-Seven Million Worth of Drugs In 17 District

Monrovia: The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency has honored the Commander of, Iron Gate Detachment in district 17, Montserrado County days after he and his team confiscated over Twenty-Seven Million worth of drugs.
During the honoring ceremony held at LDEA Headquarters in Monrovia, in the presence of senior officers, Commanders, the interim leadership headed by Deputy Commissioner of Police Fitzgerald Biago commanded officer Abdullah F. Kromah and his team for their efforts that led to one of the country’s biggest efforts in curtailing drug abuse in the country noting that the gesture is a symbol of appreciation from the LDEA’s leadership
As a mark of appreciation, the OIC presented a new set of uniform and booths to Officer Kromah for his hard work and encourage other officers to follow the good example of Kromah.
On September 18,2025, Commander Abdullah F. Kromah and team following carefully coordinated intelligence, confiscated 1,929 kilograms of compressed marijuana in Browerville, Jah Tondo District 17, Montserrado County.
The drugs estimated street value is Twenty-Seven Million, Eight Hundred and Fifty Thousand, Seven Hundred and Sixty Liberian Dollars (L$27,850,760) which is equivalent to approximately One Hundred and Forty-Six Thousand, Six Hundred and Four United States Dollars (USD 146,604).
In his response, Commander Kromah expressed gratitude to DCP Biago, his deputies, Col. Ernest Tarpeh and ACP Patrick Kormazu as well the Liberian people for their ongoing support in the fight against illegal drugs. He urged his fellow officers to remain steadfast and diligent, assuring them that their hard work would not go unnoticed.
