Monrovia: A delegation of the Liberian Senate has departed the country to represent Liberia at the Fourth Edition of the Marrakesh Parliamentary Economic Forum in the Kingdom of Morocco.
Sen. Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence,head of delegation is accompanied by Montserrado Country Senators, Abraham Darius Dillon, River- Gee Country Senator Francis Dopoh II, and Nimba Country Senator Nya Twaney.
Fourth Edition of the Marrakesh Parliamentary Economic Forum is expected to focus heavily on regional economic integration under the theme; “AfCFTA and the Connectivity of Euro-African Value Chains, Towards an Integrated Space of Co-production, Investment and Economic Resilience.”Legislators and economic experts at the summit are expected to tackle a shared agenda between the Euro-Mediterranean and African regionsdue to their geographic proximity, growing logistical links, and vast energy potential sharing a mutual interest in securing strategic supply chains and fostering long-term economic resilience.
The discussions are aimed to uncover strategic mechanisms to strengthen regional sovereignty, Protect local economies and build more self reliant, intra-regional trade frameworks.
The discussions will also Boost Co Industrialization, Drive joint investments that will bring about job creation and accelerate technology transfers across borders.
Capitalizing on its strategic geographic location, advanced logistics infrastructure, and deep African diplomatic ties, the Kingdom aims to serve as the ultimate platform bridging European investment with African economic potential.
The host nation Morocco is positioned as the primary gateway for these discussions.
