Monrovia: In a significant move towards enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of its workforce, the Civil Service Agency (CSA) has partnered with the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) to launch a nationwide personnel and credentials verification exercise.

The initiative, which is set to commence on August 18, 2025, aims to scrutinize the qualifications and credentials of all employees within the Ministry across Liberia’s 15 counties.

The exercise was officially announced during a commissioning ceremony, with the Director-General of  CSA, Dr. Josiah F. Joekai Jr. underscoring its critical importance.

He stated that the initiative seeks not only to verify employee qualifications but also to collect essential data to maintain personnel records, ensuring compliance, managing performance, and facilitating informed decision-making.

“This exercise is not just about data collection; it’s about building a reliable and accountable civil service. It also serves as a precursor to a broader, nationwide credential review and verification process for all Ministry of Internal Affairs employees,” Dr. Joekai emphasized.

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Francis Sakila Nyumalin, praised the CSA for its continuous support and technical guidance in this endeavor.

He highlighted the initiative as a major milestone that will contribute to institutional strengthening and workforce development within the Ministry and the broader Civil Service of Liberia.

The verification exercise will be implemented in phases across all 15 counties, reflecting the Government of Liberia’s commitment to fostering a transparent, efficient, and productive civil service system
