Fake Doctor Guilty of Murder, Sentenced To Life Imprisonment

Monrovia: Criminal Court “B” at the temple of Justice in Monrovia has found fake doctor Sam Worlobah guilty of murder sentencing him to life Imprisonment.

Sam Worlobah, falsely presented himself as a certified medical doctor at a local Clinic in Monrovia He is being convicted for unlawful death of a young man who was under suspicious medical circumstances.

Worlobah according to reports had no formal medical training and was not a registered member of the Liberia Medical and Dental Council the parent body of medical practitioners in Liberia. His action violates title 26, Chapter 14, Section 14.1 of Liberia’s Penal Code.

Despite limited knowledge in the medical profession, Worlobah performed critical procedures under false pretenses, leading to patient’s untimely death something Prosecutors have since described as reckless, deceptive, and intentional.

Prosecutors established during the trial that Wolobah was not licensed, registered, or certified by the Liberia Medical and Dental Council (LMDC) to perform any medical procedure. Despite this, he went ahead with the operation, which resulted into the victim’s death on March 19, 2025, one day after the surgery.

In a ruling delivered on October 1, 2025, the court described Wolobah’s actions as not only illegal but premeditated and deliberate, accusing him of establishing a “killing chamber” under the pretense of a medical facility.

According to the court’s findings, Wolobah, who admitted he was neither a certified medical doctor nor a surgeon, performed a botched appendectomy on the deceased. He described himself as merely an “apprentice medical doctor” having learned surgical rituals from trained doctors under whom he once worked.

On March 18, 2025, Mr. Worlobah diagnosed Mr. Samuel Kollie with appendicitis and Hepatitis B, demanded payment for urgent surgery, and performed the procedure under substandard conditions. Mr. Kollie died the following morning while still under observation at the facility.


The Liberia Medical and Dental Council reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that only qualified, licensed, and ethical practitioners provide healthcare services in Liberia.

“This indictment sends a clear and powerful message: no one will be permitted to practice medicine in our country without proper credentials and oversight. The public deserves competent, lawful, and ethical medical care. We urge citizens to report suspicious medical activities so that such tragedies never happen again,”.

Recently a 12-man jury at Criminal Court “B” unanimously found Sam Worlobah guilty of murder, ending the high-profile caae exposing deception in healthcare sector.

Presiding Judge Wesseh Alphanso Wesseh commended the jury for what he termed as “careful and courageous decision.”
