For Allegedly Damaging Properties Without Court Permission Former Superintendent Grace Kpan Charge for Criminal Mischief

Monrovia: Former Montserrado County Superintendent Grace Kpan has been dragged to the Monrovia city court on charge of criminal mischief after allegedly damaging people’s properties worth US 241,450.00 dollars.

Liberian law puts Criminal Mischief as the intentional or recklessly damaging, destruction, or defacing of someone else’s, property without their permission. It’s a crime and the severity of the charge can depend on the extent of the damage and the state laws.

According to DN News a online platform, The former Liberian National Union (LINU’s) Vice Standard bearer was arrested and spent hours on the criminal defendant bench after being  complained by Benson Kun and other community members  for destroying their houses in  Tweh farm community.

The complaint under oath alleged that the former Montserrado county Superintendent Madam Kpan on April 12 brought yellow machine operators that destroy their houses which one cause US83,795.00 Dollars and US157, 655 Dollars amounting to US241,450.00 Dollars.

Madam Kpan was the running mate to LINUS, s standard bearer during the 2023 general and presidential elections and superintendent for several years during former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and Weah’s administrations.

According to court document, Private prosecutor complained that Madam Kpahn, the defendant on Sunday April 12, 2025, about the hour of 3:30pm in the Tweah farm community Bushrod Island Montserrado county did criminally unlawfully and purposely order the yellow machine operator to break down and destroy private prosecutor property Mr. Magau house value 83, 795 and Madam Agnes building value 157,955 thereby bringing the total value at,
