LACC Launches Five-Year Strategic Plan To Strengthen Integrity Systems For Sustainable Governance

Monrovia: The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission has officially launched a five-year strategic plan with the theme, “Strengthening Integrity Systems for Sustainable Governance.
Presenting the overview of the strategic plan, the Executive Chairperson of the LACC, Madam Alexandra Zoe indicated that the plan run from 2026 to 2030 and developed with a goal of combating corruption
The LACC Chairperson also noted that the previous strategic plan (2019-2024) recorded a total of 44 corruption cases while highlighting that asset declaration is a crucial tool in the fight against corruption.
Senior Advisor to President Boakai Augustine Konneh, stated that the fundamental pillar of the government’s agenda is to deliver tangible results for the people of Liberia while representing president Joseph Boakai at the official launch of the strategic plan.
At same time, the Executive Chairperson of the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission Cllr. Alexandra Zoe, has renewed her strong call for the establishment of a National Anti-Corruption Court, describing it as a decisive step toward deepening accountability and restoring public trust in the justice system
Speaking at a Quarterly Workshop organized by the Ministry of Justice, Cllr. Zoe indicated that to win the fight against corruption, Liberia must institutionalize a specialized court solely dedicated to corruption cases.
The LACC chair stressed that the court will handle corruption cases swiftly, fairly and ensures timely justice as well send a clear message that Liberia is serious about accountability.
Cllr. Zoe noted that collaboration and reform of dedicated Anti-Corruption Court would not only expedite the handling of cases but also will build consistency in rulings and restore citizens’ confidence in the justice system.
The workshop which was focus on strengthening coordination in prosecution, reporting, and human trafficking interventions, brought together county attorneys, prosecution monitors, and representatives from the Ministries of Labor and Justice.
Delivering remarks at the event, the Solicitor General of Liberia Augustine Fayiah highlighted the enormous responsibility that comes with the pursuit of justice, reminding participants that their duties are not merely to secure convictions but to uphold fairness, independence, and integrity.
The Solicitor General called on participants to rise above mediocrity and deliver justice both in law and in spirit.
