Paris, France; President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., on Friday, October 31, 2025, held a Presidential Dialogue with Liberians living in France and across the European diaspora. The interactive engagement took place in Paris, following a series of high-level meetings aimed at strengthening Liberia’s international partnership and advancing national development goals.

The dialogue provided an open platform for Liberians abroad to engage directly with the President on key national issues, including governance, economic growth, youth empowerment, education, and diaspora engagement. President Boakai emphasized that Liberians everywhere remain vital partners in the country’s rebuilding efforts.

“The contributions of Liberians in the diaspora are indispensable to our nation’s progress,” President Boakai said, adding, “Your ideas, resources, and patriotism are crucial as we continue to rebuild institutions, create opportunities for our young people, and restore confidence in Liberia’s future.”

Members of the Liberian community took turns to express appreciation for the President’s outreach, sharing their perspectives on how the government can better support diaspora investment, citizenship rights, and partnerships for development.

The President highlighted ongoing efforts to create an enabling environment that encourages diaspora participation in national transformation, including reforms to promote ease of doing business, dual citizenship implementation, and the mobilization of technical expertise from Liberians abroad.

The event concluded with renewed calls for unity, patriotism, and collaboration between the Government and the Liberian diaspora in advancing the shared vision of a peaceful, prosperous, and inclusive Liberia.
