President Boakai Nominates Law Reform Boss Cllr. Boakai Kanneh Associate Justice of the Supreme Court

Monrovia: President Joseph Boakai, has nominated Law Reform Boss Cllr. Boakai Kanneh as Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of of Liberia replacing Yamie Quiqui Gbeisay

Cllr. Kanneh nomination follows the appointment of Associate Justice Yamie Quiqui Gbeisay as Chief Justice of Liberia after being confirmed by the Liberian Senate following his confirmation hearing.

Cllr. Kanneh served as the Head of the Law Reform Commission for playing key role in legal reform and access to justice initiatives.

The nominee is a Counsellor and an advocate for judicial independence, and widely recognized for his professionalism and unwavering commitment to justice and constitutional governance. He brings to the to the supreme court over two decades of legal experience.

while making the appointment, President Boakai emphasized the need for a judiciary that is impartial, efficient, and trusted by all Liberians.

A release from the executive mansion quoted President Boakai saying the Government is commitment to strengthening the judiciary where men and women are competent, integrity oriented and dedicated to the rule of law.

The president calls on all appointed officials of government to continue to demonstrate diligence, commitment, integrity, professionalism, and loyalty in service to country. The nomination is subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate.
