Monrovia: The Program Manager at Planned Parenthood Association of Liberia has been ordered by Criminal Court C’ to Restitute US$200,000 along with a fine of US$300 after the court found her guilty of Economic Sabotage following an indictment by the LACC

The restitution amount covers funds misappropriated for a PEWETTA vehicle, a Ford Everest SUV, laptops, catering services, and youth programs. Ms. Enree B. Neeplo, was convicted on multiple charges including theft, illegal disbursement of public funds, misuse of property, fraud, and criminal conspiracy.

The conviction according to LACC, stems from a July 2024 jury verdict that found several former officials of PPAL guilty. Ms. Neeplo, who requested a separate trial, has now been found equally culpable. Others convicted in the earlier proceeding include Miatta K.K. Kojolo, Ernest Vobah, Peter Collins, and William Gibson

The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) described that case as landmark corruption case involving the misuse of public funds by a senior official of the Planned Parenthood Association of Liberia (PPAL).

Judge Dixon has instructed the Clerk of Court to coordinate with the Ministry of Justice for a pre-sentencing investigation. The LACC remains committed to the fight against corruption and will continue to work diligently in ensuring that public resources are used for the benefit of all Liberians. “This victory is a testament to the Commission’s unwavering resolve to hold individuals accountable, regardless of status or affiliation”.
